Delete your data

You can delete your MindSparkd account, and everything stored with it, from inside the app. You do not need to ask anyone.
From the app
- Open MindSparkd and go to Settings.
- Tap Edit profile.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
- Confirm. The deletion happens immediately.
What is deleted
Everything. Deleting your account permanently removes:
- Your sign-in and account details — email, name, nickname and time zone.
- Your profile photo and any background photos you uploaded.
- Every quote you liked.
- Every reflection you wrote.
- Every reminder you set, and your notification settings.
- Your background and genre preferences.
- Your streak, and the record of which quotes you were shown.
- Your device's notification token.
This cannot be undone, and there is no grace period or backup to restore from. If you want to keep a reflection you have written, copy it out before you delete your account.
What is not yours to delete
The quote library itself is part of the app and is shared by everyone. It is not personal data and is unaffected.
If you cannot get into the app
If you have lost access to your account — a lost device, or a sign-in method you can no longer use — email [email protected] from the address associated with the account, or tell us which method you signed in with. Requests are handled within 30 days, and normally much sooner.
Signed in with Facebook?
The steps above delete your MindSparkd account and everything in it. They do not affect your Facebook account. Removing MindSparkd from your Facebook settings stops Facebook sharing anything further with the app, but does not by itself delete what MindSparkd has already stored — use the steps above for that.
